LuLaRoe Layering

A while back, a sweet lady from the LuLaRoe Social Media Team asked if she could send me a few items. When the huge box arrived, I asked my husband what he’d ordered. He said “this one’s for you.” I was shocked at how many pieces they’d sent me. I had never worn anything from Lularoe before, and I was pleasantly surprised that they carry so many unique pieces. I honestly thought that they mostly just carried really casual styles. Every piece had two things in common, though. They were all cute & comfy.

Today I’m going to show you two of the pieces that they sent me. The first is this solid black maxi. If you know anything about LuLaRoe, you probably know that each style has a name. This maxi is a Maria. Obviously since I already told you that everything I got was comfy + cute, there’s not much else I can tell you about a maxi dress without sounding like I’m making stuff up (like in junior high how we all added TONS of adjectives in our essays trying to meet the minimum word count. 🤣). I will tell you, though, that I love the fit and the sleeve length. Everyone needs an easy dress like this in their closet. It’s so versatile. Layer it. Accessorize it. Knot it at the bottom. Or don’t. Add tennis shoes. Style it with heels. No matter what, you’ll look cute.

I’m so SO excited to show y’all how I took this basic maxi dress to the next level with another Lularoe piece. (I feel like there should be a drumroll here 🥁) It’s a sheer embroidered layering dress. This style is a Deanne II.  I added it on top of the black maxi, and WOAH. This dress had me feeling fancy. I LOVE the gold scalloped edge along the sleeves and hemline. It has elastic at the waist, which adds some definition. It’s so elegant and classy! When I received this piece, I was blown away. It’s different from anything I’ve ever seen. I can’t wait to figure out a way to style it on top of other dresses as well!

As you all know, my style is normally relatively casual boho, so this is different for me. I think that’s part of what made this outfit extra exciting. I don’t REALLY dress up that often, but that makes the times when I do dress up feel extra special!

LuLaRoe is sold exclusively through independent retailers, and each retailer has unique pieces. I also should mention that LuLaRoe sizing is a little different, so if you’re new to the brand, be sure to reference the size chart before ordering. I normally wear a small, and I am wearing an XS in both of these dresses!
